SHOE MUSEUM
Long term exhibition
The Shoe Museum is a space that intends to present, in an innovative and simultaneously converging way, the history of shoe production, from the working shops to the big factories, the evolution of shoe throughout time and the reality of shoe design today.
Divided into five fundamental areas, the Shoe Museum presents an exhibition area dedicated to traditional manufacturing and another entirely devoted to industrial production. At a third moment, the visitor is taken into a journey in the time tunnel, getting to know the evolution of shoes from prehistory until late 20th century. At the fourth exhibit area, shoes produced by the main world designers are showcased, as well as many remarkable stories of shoes. Finally, the last area is dedicated to contemporary artistic production, showing several works by national and international artists that were inspired by the shoe.
